Hello,

Can you help me get the task to return this files informaiton?

I have  a file of Type=File, Size=10,843, Name=Scan1.  It is the only file in a folder named="a spot for ya"

[File Properties Task] Information: File '\\....\a spot for ya\scan1' does NOT exist, recording information in FileExists.

All other file types return as expected.

Thank you,

RCJ

Does that file have an extension?

If you're hiding known file extensions in Windows, it may not be shown to you.  You have to provide the exact file name to the task, or it won't find the file.

Hi Todd,

I think it is the file extension that is causing the problem.  \\...\scan1.file will not return properties.  I am replacing another program written in Visual Basic and it also does not return properties for this type.  Do you have any idea why this happens and if I can get FPT to work?  I am providing the exact file name to the task and not hiding the file extension.

Thanks, RCJ
